Summer break? not for me…

All my friends who didn’t choose med school are enjoying the nice summer break. I have to stay at home and learn for 3 more exams. Hopefully, if all goes well, i will have a well deserved break. What can i say? I shouldn’t make a big deal about this. It’s only the beginning :) ) . Ok…I’m diving back into my books now :)

Where are you people?

In the past few days I’ve been searching for student blogs (med students, to be exact). I already found some but i am looking for more. I am very curious about other people experiences with med schools around the world. Unfortunately, when i finally think i found something, i realize that the blog was last update more than a year ago. The nice thing about blogs is that you can find about someones daily events as time goes by, day by day. I hope i will add some blogs in my blogroll as soon as possible…

Summer practice…

I have 3 more exams (anatomy, biochemistry and medical cell biology), the last one on 4th of July, until i can enjoy the summer break. I know i should have started this blog earlier so i could tell you about my daily experience but something great is coming. I will start the summer practice after i finish the exams and this is the most exciting thing for me this summer. I thought about this the entire year :) And i still have to decide where to go: surgery, emergency medicine…i don’t know. Of course the summer practice is not really practice for first year med student as all you got to do is watching but being in hospital, interacting with patients and the opportunity to see a surgery performed is enough for me :D

First post…

Hy, my name is Stefan and I’m a first year med student at a romanian university. This is not the first time i decided to write. I had a blog in my native language but what can i say? globalization wins :) ). A couple of weeks ago i started to read various medical blogs of people across the world and i couldn’t help myself. I decided to give this blog thing a try :) Before i start i have to ask you one more thing: forgive my english and my grammar because mistakes are inevitable and i also know that criticism is constructive so i don’t mind when people tell me what i did wrong…
